I am sometimes a master, 

forever a student,

and always relentlessly Me.

I help create and implement holistic strategies that make individuals and organizations thrive. 

I study, write, teach, consult and coach about the powerful and often mysterious forces that direct our lives, the choices we make, the relationships we engage in, and the organizations we create. 

I am a daily student of the art, science, and power of intentional living. I do this for myself, my clients, and their organizations. 

From an early age, I was always the curious one. Asking more questions, venturing further and deeper, wanting to understand why things were the way they were; pushing all the boundaries I could find; laws too. I was insatiable in my curiosity and desire to explore and at times drove myself and my parents crazy. I also realized early on there was something ‘More’. Something that drove me to go beyond what most people would do. 

This desire for “More” and relentless pushing of life’s edges was initially incubated when I first traveled the world with my parents. By the time I was fourteen I’d lived in five countries and traveled to seventeen. This showed me early on there were so many different perspectives, so many ways to live a life. By the time I finished my MBA at 24, I’d lived and worked in four more countries, traveled to another ten, spoke Spanish fluently, and started, ran, and sold two businesses. 

It was then that life decided I should be tested. It was after my graduation that a physical challenge I knew I had since I was a child finally got to a point where I could no longer ignore it. I wear the most powerful hearing aids available. Hearing is a struggle and soul-level teacher every day. 

I’ve also made it the source of my power. 

I may not hear well, yet I could be the most powerful listener you have ever met. Enduring daily challenge can destroy or empower; I was almost destroyed. Journeying through that existential fire is what tempered me to be able to choose to be empowered. I still have to make this choice; sometimes daily. 

My challenge has given me the power of acceptance, the power of empathy, the power of patience, and an unflinching resilience that only daily struggle can bring. It forced me to face all my fears in a much more powerful way, and through years of daily practice - mindfulness, meditation, breath work, yoga, endless study and daily choice - My every day empowers me, flames my passions and permits me to be The Me I want to be.

I split my time between my home in San Francisco, California and Cairo, Egypt. With my wife, we spend four to six months a year living, working and traveling around the world. More often then not, I have the time, flexibility and resources to be who I want, where I want, when I want, and how I want. Most days I get to learn as the curious student, create as the evolving artist, learn as the evolving coach and teacher and live as an impassioned human with a purpose that makes me thrive.

My life goal is to experience love and joy daily while being passionately on my path and as blissfully at peace with who I am, where I am, what I do with my time and the person I am always becoming. 

The only thing that stands between us and what we most dream about is the depths of our imagination and our passion and persistence in making our dreams reality.

Many of my dreams are reality. Dreams of course, always evolve and change, though in this moment, and that is all there is, I know I am on my pathway to my intentional future. I lead a life I truly want and most days I am passionate about what I do. It’s been a long and often arduous journey, though there is no greater or more worthwhile journey than self-awareness, self-empowerment and self-actualization. There is no greater gift than this heightened state of being for me, for you, for our partners, our family’s, our communities, our organizations and our worlds.
